Appellate Practice

May Adam has an active appellate practice before the South Dakota Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Our Pierre, SD attorneys appear before the Eighth Circuit several times a year in both criminal and civil matters. Several members of our South Dakota law firm are members of the bar of the United States Supreme Court. Most recently Brett has briefed for the US Supreme Court in the Long Family v. Plains Commerce Bank and Dollar General v. Choctaw Tribe cases dealing with civil jurisdiction of Indian tribes.
